Travel to Chios island in Greece

Greece and that island of Chios which is in the north aegean where i am currently staying for about nine days as my good friend Alexa if you've been following along Alexa and I are on a two-week trip to Europe really to come to Greece where we both have heritage our families are both from and we've been lucky enough to visit in the past we're going knife and but we decided to stop in London and Paris before we started before we got here so check out those videos if you haven't already but now or several days into our Greece extravaganza and and I'm on island time and I'm hungry so take the food so as many of you know

outdoor adventure and fishing and stuff like that I'm across the street from the Aegean right now so of course I'm doing some fishing while I'm here but I decided to separate separate the videos out so make sure to check out my fishing stuff in the other Greeks videos but this video is all gonna be about pretty much everything else so we're staying on an island of Chios which doesn't get a ton of tourists really from outside and Greece and Turkey or people like me who have family that are from here and it really there's any reason that it shouldn't it's one of the most amazing places that I've ever been in my entire life and it really is my favorite treat island it has such a variety here it's really cool

so this trip is all going to be about Alexa and I exploring this island we're gonna do some fun beach stuff some kayaking some swimming some villages and all sorts of really cool stuff and of course a lot of eating and food too so I'm really excited to share all this with you it should be really good inspiration if you are considering a trip yourself to Greece or the Mediterranean and it should also just be enjoyable and beautiful so I hope that you like it I hope that you'd stay all the way through because we're doing some things and we're going someplace videos that are just mind-boggling amazing even pump your gas for you here okay yeah yeah kpop who from Dada oh yeah anything is how many KS again no piace available area [Music] [Music] well I'd say veridia as a reason well I'd say every media is reason enough to do this yes and the watermelon car boothy is reason enough for the degree it's like completely different than why I'm not at home candy [Music] yes [Music] all right friends I have made it to beach number two it was a pretty epic Drive here very classy but we made it and it is incredible if you're not already in love please enjoy this site and now you know why I like to come parkour parkour parkour case you're wondering what we do it all these beaches by the way I'm not a big like lay out and fake person so you go to a beach we take a swim maybe eat some food hang on the shade and then don't find the next Beach the rough life here and here Alexan

I just had a moment of silence for this meal this is one of my very favorite breads about coming to Greece these little fishing villages little port towns they catch and dry the octopus and the squid like right here that's good ever had [Music] what a view you guys we are currently at the mystique a museum in heõs which is the top of a beautiful hill hence all the wind but no trip to heels is complete without coming to this area or at least trying motika it's a SAP it's a tree really that has a SAP that they use for all kinds of different products from like chewing gum to body care to a really delicious sweet liqueur and all sorts of stuff and really this island is pretty much the only place that can produce Masika and we're gonna get maybe a coffee and get some Masika to take home

I'm going with you like very natural SAP form just to chew on kind of like done but it's it's kind of intense but I'm gonna sit with us today so looks like Johanna knees okay you're okay it's in my bloodstream I haven't tried in a couple years Osric crunchy it's country than I remember alright can you dear one it's kind of like black licorice buzz different stuff to explain what do you think we're getting there love Anne she's being she's being kind it's an acquired taste but it's like good for your stomach but if you come to heels in fact if you come to Greece find yourself some estiga you know with fry you can't come without a you know my car keys in my hand french fries on it guys french fries good morning everybody today is gonna be a little different we just hopped in the car with my cousin more or less Eddie nee yeah sighs we got a Lex in the back hello sorry just picked up somebody's copies cuz it is hot and we are headed kind of just some little villages first we're gonna go to nominee in monastery and then another village after it in the central part of the island should be really pretty and and we're gonna get after it today how do you need to explain to us to some monasteries that are on for over a thousand years and it's definitely in need of some fixing up just from age and also during the Turkish rain here on heõs a lot of it was destroyed so there's people in there fixing it up and they're trying to kind of bring it back to what it used to be but currently it's a vm people can come in and they still do have active worship here

so adeney brought us lunch we've got spanakopita very classic Greek kind of pastry it's like a spinach pie with bets on some holy bread that has orange rose and Masika mastic and a Makita cake thank you [Music] well somehow it is our last full day here on heõs and I have to say this trip is it's been awesome we've been traveling for about two weeks already but it's gone really really fast Alexa and I are feeling super grateful for everything we've done but definitely starting to feel a little bit of that uh-oh no it's time to go but the good news is is we have saved one of our best days for the last so you know you guys have been getting like a lot of kind of random taste of what we've been doing one of my favorite parts definitely has we spend like strolling going through these villages and just like looking around and kind of taking it all in and I think that's something really cool to keep in mind too if you're a cost conscious traveler just like walking around in other cities is a really good way to experience it we've been enjoying that but we've gone to a lot of beaches too for like swimming and kayaking and stuff one of the coolest things about heõs is the variety of beaches we've seen whites and blacks and Red Rocks white pebbles and today we are going to my very favorite beach on the island one of the most favorites it's called Mavra Volia and it means black pebble beach so it's a black pebble beach volcanic stones it's gorgeous it's my favorite Beach I am really excited to show you guys so we're about we're in the car right now we're gonna bout to head we're about to head out to go down there to do that so you guys are in for a treat you
